COVID 19 Update: Brecklate B&B is now only open to those travelling to Kintyre for business. We will be following the "safer stays" guiding principles which involves strict cleaning schedules and will be fully compliant with physical distancing measures. Guests have a private access door to the accommodation and there are no shared spaces with the proprieters.

Our bed and breakfast is extremely well situated for golfers wishing to use the Machrihanish, Machrihanish Dunes and Dunaverty golf courses in south Kintyre. We are only 3 miles from Southends beautiful beaches. Campbeltown (Scotland's smallest whisky producing region) is only 7 miles away. Buses pass the end of the driveway.
Brecklate is a traditional Kintyre farmhouse built in 1866 although the only farming we do here now is to grow our own fruit and vegetables. Please note that we now only accept bookings with a minimum stay of 2 nights.
We are only a 3 hour drive from Glasgow through beautiful west coast scenery. There are buses daily from Glasgow. For timetable information on the 926 service, operated by West Coast Motors check the website: www.westcoastmotors.co.uk
A ferry service operates during the summer months from Ardrossan to Campbeltown. Take a look at the Cal Mac website: www.calmac.co.uk - for detailed timetable information (2020 timetable yet to be announced).
